What is Spam?

You are here:

Spam denotes any unsolicited, unwanted digital communication typically sent to users and mail clients in bulk. Many people consider spams as a nuisance, but in a real sense, it is a severe threat that hackers use to steal user information. Indeed, spams are more than a waste of resources and time. The danger they pose has led many software providers to develop email applications that attempt to filter unwanted digital communication. Spammers always find ways to clog inboxes, and it is also not rare to find spam messages in text messages, social media, blogs and internet forums.
