Do mobiles and tablets present cyber security risks?

Yes, and these are often overlooked.  Company and client/customer data is often accessed on mobile phones, tablet devices and the like, and there’s nothing wrong with that at all as long as it’s done securely.  Technology enables business to be more productive, agile and responsive – it gives you competitive edge.  Businesses need that more than ever. 

There are risks though, and they can be significant. A good security professional will understand both the need for agility and the associated security risks, help you understand those risks and find ways to use technology securely – not tell you that you can’t.
